Where can I find an article's APA reference in the databases?
Answer
Many databases such as Gale, EBSCO, and ProQuest have copy-and-paste citation tools- the video below shows where to find this feature. This means that you may be able to get your references formatted by the database where you found them. Be aware that you may need to modify these formatted references to ensure they follow the APA citation style accurately. This video shows the most common modifications.
If you choose to use a citation tool, be sure to double-check your citations for accuracy. You are still responsible for ensuring you are using the appropriate format. Check the APA Style Guide for more information.
Some medical reference resources don't provide an APA reference. Check out the Medical Reference guide for details on citing these sources.
