How do I earn an NVIDIA Certification?

Answer

NVIDIA AI Certification at ECPI University

Dr. Paul Nussbaum, EET faculty at the Glen Allen Campus in Richmond, Virginia, became an NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) Ambassador in early 2022.

Since becoming an NVIDIA DLI Ambassador, Dr. Nussbaum has hosted workshops on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for ECPI University students, alumni, faculty, and community partners. NVIDIA DLI workshops offer unique, free training for those looking to solve challenging problems with deep learning and accelerated computing.

Currently, there are four NVIDIA AI certifications on the ECPI University List of Approved Certifications.

  • AI for Anomaly Detection
  • AI for Predictive Maintenance
  • AI on the Jetson Nano
  • Fundamentals of Deep Learning

NVIDIA certification workshops are offered approximately every two months, and they are taught by Dr. Nussbaum. Dr. Nussbaum typically hosts these workshops on a Friday from 9 am to 5 pm (EST/EDT). At the conclusion of each full-day workshop, participants take an assessment test. Participants who pass the assessment test earn an official certificate from NVIDIA.

When offered, these workshops are available to students and alumni at no charge, and no voucher is required

Three of ECPI University's four available NVIDIA workshops are held virtually, and you may attend from home. The Jetson Nano workshop is hardware-dependent, and when that workshop runs, it is only offered as an on-site workshop at a designated campus.

Interested in earning a certification from NVIDIA?

Future workshops will be promoted on campus homepages and in Canvas. If you are a student interested in participating in an NVIDIA workshop, please note that you will need approval from your campus ET or CIS Director who can confirm that you have completed the necessary coursework and/or have familiarity with Python programming.

If you have any questions about NVIDIA certification, you are welcome to email Dr. Nussbaum directly at pnussbaum@ecpi.edu

*NVIDIA certifications do not count toward a student's voucher quota*
